MPOS. Convenient Way to Transact at The Merchant – 30 May 2016

What is the mobile point of sale (MPOS)? What’s the difference with EDC?

MPOS can be said as the latest development of Electronic Data Collection which is placed by the merchant bank as a publisher, to assist merchant customers in processing payments for the purchase of goods in merchants where transactions are not made in cash.

EDC machine can only show transactions on a small screen and the customer only knows the transactions made when the transaction receipt in print.

Perhaps officer at the merchant made a mistake in entering transaction of the customer and merchants did not realize it, if this occurs most likely customers will be afraid to trade at the merchant.

MPOS is designed to avoid this, MPOS transactions will be displayed on an android smartphone so customers can view transactions carried out by merchants, and merchants can keep a history of transactions made in the form of reports, unlike EDC which reports transactions can only be displayed when completing reports in form of thermal paper, so that it can be said MPOS is a pure transaction when a transaction is either in real time or a report.
